Churches Collaborate to Prepare for School Year
1 Corinthians 12:12
“Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.”

In the past several years, John Early Museum Magnet Middle School has been an amazing United4Hope partner, working with many churches in the community and offering resources and support for other school-church partners. This summer, on June 27th, the school hosted four returning or new church partners for a morning of collaborative vision casting and collaboration. Pastors and/or church coordinators from the following four churches were represented: Fourteenth Avenue Missionary Baptist Church, The Church at Mt. Carmel, Bethlehem United Primitive Baptist Church, and Jackson Street Church of Christ.

The principal, Dr. Riggs, and program manager Dr. Mike Hidalgo also sat in the meeting to help facilitate great conversations around mentoring initiatives for student athletes and the student population as a whole. Additional topics included furthering communication for the upcoming year, back-to-school initiatives, and thinking through what larger programs or initiatives could be made possible by working together.

We are so grateful for opportunities like these that allow each part of the body to do it’s part and are looking forward to what the fruit of this meeting will be as we move towards the 2025-2026 school year. If you would like to see your church collaborate with another church for the benefit of a partner school, please let your program manager know!
