What To Expect
This year’s
Honorees
The Joe and Honey Rodgers Civic Leadership Celebration recognizes Christian leaders who demonstrate excellence and humility as they strengthen others. In the 12th annual celebration of Joe and Honey’s community contributions and OAG’s 20th Anniversary Year, the 2020 honorees couldn’t exemplify these standards more perfectly.
The late U.S. Ambassador Joe M. and Helen “Honey” Rodgers are prime examples of such Kingdom-minded influence. Joe and Honey pointed others to Christ as they led with integrity around the world, nation, and our local community.
As one of the founders and early chair of The Operation Andrew Group, Joe opened the door for us to mobilize Nashville’s faith community to serve our city collaboratively. Through a deep love of the Lord and desire to see Nashville flourish, Joe and Honey encouraged others to come together regardless of denomination, ethnic background, and economic status to transform our future.
We honor them by celebrating today’s leaders that exhibit the same spirit of Christ-honoring leadership that Joe modeled and Honey continues to display.
Harold Brewer has served Nashville and the Mid-TN region through his Kingdom-minded leadership at American Constructors. With a B.E. from Vanderbilt University and a B.S. from Lipscomb University, Harold has provided direction not only as President and CEO but also through all phases of the firm’s operations during his tenure. Harold’s gentle wisdom, insight, and systematic approach to complex problems have set a tone that is weaved into the future of the organization and its team. Harold also serves the local church faithfully as a deacon of older adults at Harpeth Hills Church of Christ. He and his wife, Tammy, have one son.
CeCe Winans is blessed with one of the most distinctive voices in gospel music. The recipient of 12 Grammy Awards, 7 Stellar and 20 Dove Awards, her multi-faceted career has included endeavors as an artist, songwriter, author, talk show host and speaker. Yet, her legacy extends beyond her entertainment industry success as she graciously lends her talent to a wide variety of local and national non-profit organizations. A Nashville resident for more than 25 years, she has fostered youth development through her Always Sisters Forever Brothers conferences and currently shares pastor responsibilities for Nashville Life Church with her husband Alvin and son, Alvin III.
Hal Hadden a full history of leading others in pursuit of a deeper relationship with Christ. Hal holds an M.S. from Memphis University, MDiv from Asbury Theological Seminary, and DMin from Vanderbilt University. Hal is the founder of Christian Leadership Concepts (CLC) and co-founder of Becoming Like Christ (BLC), two-year discipleship and leadership ministries that are in over 130 cities across the U.S. and Canada. Additionally, he is an author, avid bicyclist, and member, elder & Sunday School teacher at Christ Presbyterian Church. Hal and his wife Linda have been married for 52 years and have three daughters and five grandchildren.
Send a note of celebration and gratitude to one of our honorees!
