Being a pastor is difficult under the best of circumstances. But adding in a pandemic, racial tensions, and a heated presidential election makes the job even more complex and challenging. Much of the population seems to have tested positive for TTSD (Twenty Twenty Stress Disorder). Pastors have no immunity and are perhaps the ones at greatest risk.
This two-part virtual course is designed to help pastors shepherd their flocks in this increasingly tension-filled environment. Most pastors are challenged less by the technical aspects of the job (like how to get their church services streaming properly) and more by the people aspects. Many church members have taken sides on different issues like how to vote and what social distancing measures are necessary. What’s a pastor to do when their people have such different (and in some cases angrily-held) opinions?
