25 Days of Prayer || Day 13

“ Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7
Dear Lord,
We know that you are a God who is merciful, abundant in goodness, and rich in love. You know our needs, our desires, and our wants, and you care for our people. We come before you today with our students and their families on our hearts.
We present to you the desire for every one of our families to have direct access to the technologies and educational tools that are necessary for their children to thrive. We thank you for the good that advances in technology can bring, and we soberly recognize that not every person in our city has equitable access to the same kinds of technology.
For those who do not have access to the tools necessary for students to work daily from home, please present a way to change this situation. Would you, in your goodness, allow students and families free access to computers, wi-fi, data, programs, and services that they will need to keep up with their daily workload?
We know that a lack of access to educational tools can be a barrier for many of our students, and we pray that you lead us to ways where we can ensure that no student is left without a solution when this is the case for them. We ask that our schools, churches and homes can be places of safety, sanctuary, and access for students in any way they need to be, so that these students can grow academically, emotionally, socially and physically. Please open our eyes and make it clear what we can do to eliminate barriers for our students, so that we can close opportunity gaps, and in doing so address academic disparities in our city.
Give us ears that listen, eyes that see, and hearts that lead us to compassion, grace and understanding. May every one of our students be the best version of themselves they can be and may every one of our families know that you a God of provision and care.
We love you, we need you, and we cannot do this without you.
In your Son’s name we pray,
Amen
