Dear Father in Heaven, 

I thank You for Your plan to take care of us, not to abandon us and to give us the future we hope for. Thank you for calling many loving men and women to serve as teachers, gifting each one to serve students and families in so many powerful ways. I pray that as teachers begin this new school year, working hard to understand the needs of each student, as well as their families, that You would give them a renewed sense of Your calling and purpose. Oh God, help them to recognize Your leading and Your presence giving wisdom and understanding. Give them strength for each day’s tasks and for every interaction with their classes and each individual student.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
