“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” Colossians 3:23 

Gracious Father, we come before you today to ask that your Holy Spirit will spark excitement and joy as teachers prepare their classrooms and their lessons for these precious students that they are entrusted with this year. Help them to hold on to that sense of excitement as the year progresses, and they are tasked with implementing so many components in their daily plans. Lord, as they work to fulfill extra requirements throughout the year, please remind our teachers to always keep their “why” at the forefront. Focusing on that will continue to inspire them to work at it with all their hearts.  

Father, thank you for the creativity and talent that you have given to these teachers. We pray that they have the space and time to share them with their students and that they will see the giftings of their students come to life in their classrooms. We know that you created those unique abilities within each of us for the purpose of sharing and serving. Thank you for our teachers. Thank you for their desire and willingness to serve.  

We pray all these things in your Son’s name, Amen.
