26 Days of Prayer || Day 17

“Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you.”  Hebrews 13:17Â
Lord God, we come before you on behalf of teachers, and the unique privilege and responsibility they have as they teach, facilitate, support, and engage students. We know that responsibilities continue to be added to their roles, and that in moments it all can feel overwhelming. Would you please help the school leadership be compassionate, understanding, and patient as teachers engage new priorities as well as live out of their passion to equip students to flourish.
God, we pray for supportive relationships with school leadership, that as teachers work faithfully that the school leadership would be honoring of the commitment and work happening, and that there would be a unique collaboration where teachers voices are heard, where school leadership is able to engage, prepare, and support the work happening within classrooms, and that as broader school initiatives come from leadership, that there would be a unity and partnership that supports, not just the individual classroom, but the entire school community.
God, we ask that you build healthy, dynamic, and creative relationships between teachers and school administration so that the entire community within the school can thrive and that the work would be a joy for all involved. In your Son’s name we pray, Amen.
