Celebrate Cultural Differences!

Did you know that there are over 140 different languages spoken in the homes of our MNPS students? That means that roughly three-fourths of the nations in the world are represented right here in our district! That also means that we have a unique opportunity to grow and learn from their rich heritages as we partner with our schools.

Hermitage Elementary School hosted a Culture Night several weeks ago with over 300 people in attendance. What a beautiful way to learn about the cultures that are represented in their school families!  Volunteers from Hermitage Hills Baptist Church served the families under the leadership of Robyn Prescott, our school liaison, and Joanne and the late Dave Carlon, coordinators from the church. Dave was a true champion for the school and will surely be missed. We want to honor his memory and commitment to volunteerism there.

We are so incredibly thankful to those in our United4Hope church and school community who embrace differences in cultures and seek to celebrate them well!
