Church Community Partners and MNPS: Back to School Events
Our church community partners volunteered with our school partners at back to school events throughout the city in July and August. From community festivals, backpack drives, free haircuts, bouncy houses, meet the teacher nights, and more, our church partners were out and about supporting their schools.
Bridges Nashville threw a Backpack Block Party in partnership with Haywood Elementary with over 400 people in attendance! It was a wonderful community gathering with tasty food, free haircuts, and live entertainment! View photos of the event here.
Nashville First Church of the Nazarene supported Warner Elementary at their school preview night informing families of great community opportunities through Warner Elementary.
Crossroads Church of Antioch had two opportunities to serve with their partner school, Eagle View Elementary. They assisted at Back to School Night and on the first day of school serving donuts and coffee, greeting families, and helping to ensure students boarded the correct bus at the end of the day. Immanuel Nashville engaged their youth group in their partnership with Park Avenue Elementary by decorating cookies for Park Avenue’s Meet the Teacher Night. What a fun way to welcome families back to school for the 2019-2020 school year! View photos of the event here.
This is just a snapshot of the many ways our partners collaborated and supported one another during the back to school season!
