Immanuel Nashville Church and Park Avenue Elementary are both located in the Sylvan Heights neighborhood in Nashville and have partnered together for several years.

In years past, congregants Ellen Anderson and Caroline Greenwald have coordinated the partnership at the church through food at parent meetings, literacy tutors, supporting family engagement, and providing staff encouragement and donations.  

The partnership has continued to grow and expand over the years, and Madison Knowe, a congregant at Immanuel Nashville, currently coordinates efforts at the church to partner with the school.  

 Last month Immanuel Nashville Church provided lunch for teachers during one of their in-service days (pictured above), and this year each community group at the church has “adopted” staff members throughout the school to ensure that those pouring themselves out for students stay encouraged throughout the year.  

We love highlighting partnerships like this, and we are excited to see what the future holds for this great partnership!
