Swing into Summer with a School-Church Partnership!
Summer may be in full swing, but many United4Hope churches are already preparing for the coming school year. A few weeks ago, Fourteenth Avenue Missionary Baptist Church hosted their first annual Volunteer Recruitment Day. Under the leadership of co-coordinators Dr. Gwendolyn Watson and Thomas Riche, the church saw fifteen volunteers come together and take part in an updated volunteer orientation for their partnership school, John Early Magnet Middle School. Dr. Mike Hidalgo, United4Hope program manager, was also able to help new volunteers quickly complete the registration and background check process. Fourteenth Avenue MBC has been such a wonderful partner throughout the years and is excited to continue to deepen their impact in the years to come.
United4Hope would love to connect your church to a school! From selecting a partner school, to building connections with school staff and students, brainstorming volunteer opportunities, recruiting and training volunteers, and so much more, United4Hope works alongside your church to support in whatever ways serve your congregation best. This summer is a great time to begin or reengage your partnership, so that your church is ready to jump in when school begins in August. If you are interested in supporting a local school, please reach out to us at United4Hope@OperationAndrew.org. We would love to connect with you!
