On Monday, October 7^th, we were super grateful to be able to host a church coordinator meet-up, where coordinators from all over the Metro Nashville area were able to come together for a morning of fellowship, food and fun. We were treated to a workshop hosted by Dr. Simyka Carlton, Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Coordinator for Metro Nashville Public Schools. Throughout the workshop, Dr. Carlton broke down the essence of what SEL is, how it used in the classroom and how the SEL practices can be used to help students understand themselves, their families, and their communities. There were activities, laughs, memories and imperative learning for all. We are thankful to Dr. Carlton and to all our church coordinators who attended.
