Father,

Thank You for the new school year and the opportunity to start fresh. Thank You for the hope that we have in You and for the innumerable ways You are available to us no matter what the challenges of the day may be.

As we step into a new season, whether it’s engaging in familiar things or finding a new rhythm altogether may all that we do be a worship offering to You! I pray first and foremost that we would set our relationship with You as the first priority of our days. May Your face, Lord, be the first that we seek in loving devotion. And may Your word set the tone for each of our days and inform us on how to live. As we look to You and listen to Your Spirit give us the strategies and wisdom needed to have a fruitful year. May we discern what You are calling us to and what You are not calling us to. Help us to be in the right place, at the right time, with the right people doing the right things.

Lord, help us not to take our cues from the culture around us. You’re not looking for perfection or for self-promotion. You are looking for hearts that are devoted to You. Help us to know the ways You are calling us to sustain lives that reflect Your glory. May our homes and lives be set apart as holy places of grace, love, peace and truth.  Thank You that if we need wisdom, You said that You would give it to us generously if we would ask. Give us Your wisdom and plans for the year, Lord. Thank You for the grace to steward them and that You will be with us every step of the way.
We believe that You will lead and guide us, Lord. Thank You for a great year and may You receive all the glory and honor for it, Father. Amen!
