21 Days of Prayer // Day 3

‘‘May the LORD bless you and protect you. May the LORD smile on you and be gracious to you. May the LORD show you his favor and give you his peace.’’Numbers 6:24-26 (New Living Translation)

Dear Heavenly Father, we pray for all teachers, administrators, and support staff as they come back to their spaces of work in the schools. Some are coming with excitement, and others are coming with trepidation. God, we pray that you would welcome all of them in with your presence. I pray that each and every one of them will feel safe, supported, and needed.

Jesus, I pray that you remind the teachers, coaches, and staff fresh and anew of their passion for guiding the students in their classrooms, offices, and other spaces where they lead. Allow them to feel the hope of helping students to reach their full potential and beyond. Show them all the possibilities of this new year and of how they play an integral part in the lives of these children as they help them to find their own voices.

Holy Spirit, bring inspiration and creativity to all of these adults in our schools so that they may reach every student in some unique way. Fill them with purpose, energy, and renewed commitment to their chosen field, position, and subject. Our students need them to be at their best to provide the opportunities for them to thrive.

Thank you, Lord, for these men and women who have dedicated their careers to our young people. Bless and keep them.
