Jones Paideia Elementary Hosts TCAP Prayer Session

Spring is in the air and for schools, that means testing season is upon us. Throughout the state, students, families, teachers, and administrators are all jumping headfirst into Tennessee state testing, also known as TNReady or TCAP. In preparation for this important time, Jones Paideia Elementary School hosted a time of prayer on Sunday afternoon, the day before testing was to begin. Principal Wilson, Community Achieves Site Manager Joy Pillow-Jones, multiple church partners, and United4Hope staff were able to join the event. Elder Corey Jackson of Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church opened the time with Scripture reading and prayer, then invited those in attendance to spend time praying over the students and staff who would be walking through the halls of the school. Other churches in attendance were Temple Church, Merry Street Church of God, and Seay Hubbard Church. United4Hope staff member Sandra Putnam-Broadway was also honored to attend and pray. After a dedicated time of prayer, participants closed out in a song and praying blessing over all who walk in the doors. What a joy to see churches partner in such an intentional way with our schools! We are praying for all our students and staff during this testing season!
