United4Hope Churches “Fall-ing” into Action!
The fall season holds so many opportunities for linking arms with our schools. Several of our United4Hope churches have been engaging in various activities around the district. For example, pictured is Nashville First Baptist volunteering to assist families with pumpkin painting at LEAD Cameron Academy and LEAD Cameron Middle. Our coordinator Andrea Overby says, “Pumpkin face painting was a hit!”
Other churches have been providing lunches and birthday celebrations for teachers. Some have volunteered with their schools’ Fall Festivals, Trunk or Treat Gatherings, and with the recent Hispanic Heritage Month Celebrations. Many congregations have fed football teams and marching bands, and many others continue to stock food pantries and hold coat drives as cooler weather approaches. There are so many ways to partner this season and always. We are so thankful for how our United4Hope churches and schools work together for the students, teachers, and families!
