Wrapping up: A School Year in Review
It’s been a wonderful school year at United4Hope, and we are astounded by the impact that school and church partnerships have had across Metro Nashville Public Schools (MNPS) and the Franklin Special School District (FSSD).
Franklin Special School District
In the FSSD, we are excited to announce that all 8 schools now have one or more United4Hope church partners! We will continue to recruit churches and build upon this solid foundation of school and church partnerships. Some ways churches have supported the FSSD this year include encouraging staff members through gift cards, staff lunches, and gift baskets. In addition, churches have supported schools through school beautification projects and donating and providing resources. The Franklin church community has contributed over 100 hours of service to the Franklin Special School District and over $11,000 of in-kind donations. What an amazing first year of United4Hope school and church partnerships within the FSSD!
Metro Nashville Public Schools
Within Metro Nashville Public Schools, we have almost 120 churches supporting 71 schools. Some of the ways that Davidson County churches have been supporting MNPS this year include mentoring and tutoring students, encouraging faculty and staff members through teacher appreciation support, cleaning and painting restrooms, installing playground equipment, assisting the school community in the library and cafeteria and across the building, helping to coordinate and implement planning meetings, and so much more. Overall, Davidson County churches have supported MNPS with over 3,000 service hours and over $38,000 in in-kind donations. This is only the beginning! Our goal is to have a United4Hope church partner for every school within MNPS, and we have 95 schools to go. If you know of a church that would like to partner with a Metro Nashville Public School, we would love for you to connect us to them.
We believe that school and church partnerships truly transform our communities. As church members connect their time, talent, and treasure to schools across the city, authentic relationships are formed, hearts are encouraged, bridges are built, and our community flourishes!
We hope that you all have a restful and rejuvenating summer!
