21 Days of Prayer // Day 4

I am your servant; give me discernment that I may understand your statutes.
Psalm 119:125

Dear Lord,
I am your servant; give me discernment that I may understand your statutes.
My Lord, thank you for the people that you have entrusted to my leadership and care. I don’t take my assignment for granted regardless of which capacity I serve. You have called me to lead and make decisions and for that I say, “Thank you”.

God, you are so merciful and I marvel in your grace. I begin this school session with excitement and enthusiasm knowing that eyes have not seen, nor ear heard, all the things God has prepared for those who love him. Father, I love you and I stand in agreement with all you desire to do within the walls of every schoolhouse.

Please instill in me a heart of discernment, that I may faithfully carry out my leadership duties. Give me the wisdom to discern where warnings are needed, and your words to speak them in grace, kindness, love, and discernment. Allow me to hear and openly receive the wisdom of the leaders that watch over me, too.

My Lord, do those things which only you can do and I will be careful to give your name the honor and glory that is due. In Jesus’ name I pray and ask it all, amen.
